Nian Nian You Yu, Chinese New Year on nine lines
Lanterns, firecrackers, mandarin oranges and lion dance heads under a temple roof. A 9-line slot with a scatter named after the New Year greeting itself.
Everything in Nian Nian You Yu points at the Lunar New Year. The reels sit under a curved red temple roof, fireworks burst in the sky behind it and a row of lanterns hangs down each side. The symbols are what you'd find on the table or in the street during the festival: red lanterns, plum blossom, a bamboo steamer of buns, a plate of dumplings with chilli sauce, baskets of mandarin oranges, strings of firecrackers, red packets, a dragon head, a lion dance head and a red diamond with the character 福.
Lines and bet
Nine lines, numbered down both sides in coloured dots. The LINES box reads 9 and the BET box 0.09 in all three screenshots, so each line costs 0.01. A TURBO MODE switch sits next to them, set to OFF, and a gold Dollar Ball badge in the corner has its own ENABLE button. Above the reels, a red scrolling strip shows the PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT, while Major, Random and Minor counters run along the top.
The scatter
The scatter is a blue tile with the greeting 年年有余 in gold. The old page said it pays the total bet back for two, 5 times for three, 10 times for four and 100 times for five, wherever they land. None of our screens show a scatter win, but they do show a small line win: "You won 0.02 on line 3", with the WIN box at 0.09.

It's a New Year greeting, 年年有余, wishing you a surplus every year. The last word sounds like the Chinese for fish, which is why fish turn up at New Year dinners.

According to the old page, the 年年有余 tile pays anywhere on the reels: the total bet back for two, 5 times for three, 10 times for four and 100 times for five. We don't have a pay table screen to confirm it.
What is Turbo Mode?
