Golden Roaster is a Chinese New Year slot built around the zodiac rooster as a lucky charm, and it's a rooster themed game, not a cockfighting one. A red rooster in a gold ring sits on the reels among gold coins stamped 招財進寶, firecrackers, jade and silver ingots, and an open treasure bowl full of gold crowns the frame.
Gold twins
The odds table pairs four symbols with gold twins. A gold rooster pays 500 for five against 50 for the red one, a gold jade dragon 400, a gold ingot 250 and gold firecrackers 150, while the plain versions pay 50. A coin pays 100, and the card letters from A to 9 pay 50. The strip at the top of the screen, ACTIVE SYMBOLS, shows the same four icons, and the bet box below the reels is labelled GOLD SYMBOL.
Ways, jackpots and free games
The reels are marked ALL WAYS on both sides, so wins count on adjacent reels from the left. GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR and MINI hang above them. A round red and gold medallion is the scatter: five give 20 free games, four give 15.

What does the GOLD SYMBOL box do?
It sets the stake. At GOLD SYMBOL 48 and PLAY 1, TOTAL PLAY is 48. All three screenshots were taken at that setting, so we can't show what a different level changes on the reels.
What are the ACTIVE SYMBOLS?
A strip at the top shows four icons: the rooster, the jade medallion, the silver ingot and the firecrackers. These four each come in a plain and a gold version on the odds table, and the gold ones pay far more.
How many free games does the scatter give?
The table shows 20 free games for five scatters and 15 for four. The line for three is cut off in our screenshot. The rules also count the purple 福 tile together with the scatter when three or more line up from the left.
