Nantianmen, the South Gate of Heaven, and the Water Curtain Cave are the two places the old page said Monkey Story Plus adds to the older Monkey Story. Both are on the board. The gate stands at the top with its Chinese name, 南天门, and the cave at the bottom, 水帘洞. Between them runs a ring of 24 round portraits, and the Monkey King flies round it on his cloud to pick a winner.
Betting
There are four characters from Xi You Ji, the Monkey King story, each in red, green and yellow: the Monkey King with his gold headband, a girl with twin hair buns, a green-faced figure with a crescent blade and a horned bull demon. That makes twelve boxes. The Monkey King carries the longest odds at 31 to 40, the girl 15 to 20, the green figure 8 to 11 and the bull demon 5 to 7.
A right-hand column adds BANK at 2, TIE at 9 and PLAYER at 2. You pick a chip value (50 here), tap the boxes you want and press START. A JACKPOT counter sits on the left.
The round
The board fades and the Monkey King flies through the clouds while the ring lights up. The result appears in a disc in the middle with its odds printed round the edge: a green figure at 10 in one screenshot, the green Monkey King at 35 in the other, with BANK lit on that round.

No. It's a betting wheel. A ring of 24 character portraits surrounds the board, the Monkey King flies round it on his cloud, and the portrait he stops at decides which bets win.
Why does the same character pay different odds?
Each character comes in red, green and yellow, and each colour has its own odds. On our board the Monkey King paid 31 in red, 35 in green and 40 in yellow.
What are Bank, Tie and Player?
Side bets at 2, 9 and 2, shown in the right-hand column. During the round a Bank or Player sign lights up next to the result. The screens don't show how that side is decided.
